Google has recently announced that the company is forced to lay off 12,000 employees. Sundar Pichai, Google CEO, has stated in an open letter to all Googlers that it was a difficult decision but necessary in order to continue innovating and investing in new areas, like artificial intelligence. Previously, Meta and Twitter had laid off large number of their employees.
