As blockchain gaming was the most popular web3 industry sector in 2022, the Neopets developer group has invited some well-known blockchain investors including Polygon Ventures, Blizzard Avalanche Ecosystem Fund, Hashkey Capital, IDG Capital, and NetDragon Websoft to invest $4 million for bringing the game to the metaverse. The Neopets Meta Alpha: Winter Edition, is available and free for both experienced cryptocurrency users and casual players until January 31, 2023.
