Telegram community has launched a bot called “@wallet” for users to buy, store, and send USDT (Tether) through the app. USDT is a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar. Attaching cryptocurrencies to wallet through Telegram was first introduced in 2022 for Bitcoin and Toncoin. By this method, the experience of trading cryptocurrencies becomes intuitive and understandable for users. Telegram by over 700 million users, can be a key app for developing blockchain technologies. It wasn’t first initiative by brothers Pavel and Nikolay Durov (owners of Telegram).
