Sony has revealed its new gadget, the 3D tracker called Mocopi, which enables users to capture their bodies to make videos or operate avatars in VRChat and other metaverse apps (including Unity and MotionBuilder). The gadget’s price is 49,500 yen (about $358) and will be launched in Japan in January.
Mocopi has some tiny sensors and some accessories which attach to some certain parts of body: two wrist and ankle bracelets, a headband, and a belt clip. The product is used not only in VR and AR space, but also in animation and cinema industry. It is also predicted that Mocopi can be compatible with VR 2 of PlayStation.
