In order to cut operating expenses by $5.5 billion, giant entertainment company Walt Disney has decided to lay off 7000 employees. In this regard, the company will close its metaverse division which is managing by Mike White and leading by Mark Bozon. Bozon is a former Apple executive who is hired to lead Disney’s metaverse strategy called the “Next Generation Storytelling Creative Experiences at Disney”. According to the new policy, it seems that the company is no more enthusiast for Metaverse and new technologies!
