ChatGPT-based AI assistant is being developed in cars and trucks by General Motors.

Big manufacturer of cars and trucks under Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick, and GMC brands, is developing a virtual assistant for its vehicles in collaboration with OpenAI. The company is planning to use the ChatGPT chatbot language model and the Microsoft Azure cloud service to make interaction with the system more easier and safer for drivers. By AI assistant in your car, you will be able to control many options of your car just through voice commands, including navigation, climate control, and entertainment. Scott Miller, GM’s vice president of software and operating systems, added that the system is able to tell the driver what to do in a difficult situation. For instance, if a tire is punctured, the system will display a training video on how to replace the tire yourself. Additionally, the system can explain what each signal on the dashboard means as well as pave the way to the repair shop. All of this will be voice-controlled.
